adidas Skateboarding hosted ‘Build’ a mega 2 week event at Factory International in Manchester and needless to say, it went off. A huge thank you to NOTE, Projekts and Gooseside for their hospitality and to Betong who built the obstacles, which were then donated to Platt Fields 2.0. Go skate it! It’s definitely more beneficial to a city’s scene when the obstacles are recycled instead of needlessly destroyed. A far better use of time and money, anyone hosting an event in future with obstacles, please do the same.
Shout out to the adidas Skateboarding global team who came and stoked out the onlookers, Dan Cintra (top geezer) on skate schools, Projekts on girl’s skate school, the paint workshop with undisputed legends Liisa Chsholm & Rosie Stobbs. Not stopping there, we have gratitude for the zine and photo workshop with mag fave Sam ‘ Blinky’ Hutchinson of Village Books, the skate panel discussion with dons Percy Dean, Jay Johnson, Leo Sharp and Jamie Reed of Gooseside. And lastly the pub quiz hosted by steeze dawgs Tin Can Skate Lore by Pat Steiner, Jovi Bathemess & Shaun Currie.
