“DC Shoes is hopping into the kitchen for a limited collaboration with Bob’s Burgers—mixing all the ingredients of DC’s authentic skateboarding footwear with the fun and flavors of the Bob’s’ irreverent universe. Drawing on memorable elements from the show and pulling from DC’s rich skate shoe catalog, the end result is a wearable collection of footwear and apparel that will excite both the superfans, skaters and burger fans alike.
Together, DC and Bob’s crafted unique Burgers Of The Day inspired by skateboarding tricks. Always quick with a clever pun, the burger names can be found on a print across the collection, with a custom apron that really brings home the bacon. The rest of the lineup features unique prints with a ketchup and mustard theme.
But, the real showstopper of the collection is the Kalis OG shoe with a Bobsified pro skater Josh Kalis and glow in the dark outsole. Kalis is particularly excited about the collaboration and being able to see one of his iconic skate photos animated in the Bob’s Burger style must be surreal. “Bob’s is literally on at my house 24/7!”
DC’s Global Head of Marketing, Michael Minter is similarly excited about the collab: “We love Bob’s Burgers and had a great time working with the teams at Disney and Bento Box to bring this collaboration to life. Merging the bold self-expression of DC skateboarding with the irreverent Bob’s universe proved to be an extremely natural process. We just hope all the fans enjoy this collection as much as we do.”
To launch the collection in the UK, DC will be popping up in key stockists in Bristol and Manchester with it’s very own branded Bob’s Burgers bus and giving out complimentary burgers with every DC purchase. The DC Bob’s Burgers Bus will be at Campus Pool in Bristol on Saturday May 1st and Greystone Action Sports, Manchester on Sunday May 2nd. Lucky skaters also stand the chance to bag a burger or merch as they show off their tricks on the in-house ramps.
The DC X Bob’s Burgers Collection will be available at select stores and at dcshoes.com on May 1 2021.”
